Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

4 years of friendship

Brandon and I have been friends for almost 4 years now... and I truly am blessed to have a friend like him. We both get busy and may not talk for awhile, but we are always able to pick up right where we left off. I don't get to see him very much since he is away at Kent, (will be graduating in May!!) but when he does come home we make an effort to at least see each other.
He came home last weekend and watched a movie with me. It is always a great time!!!!

I also told him I would post a picture.
The best part is that our friendship started over a "I love Jesus" laniard that he had. My comment was that everyone should have one of those so you can know who is a believer and who isn't. Even though we did meet at a christian conference, but we have been friends since then... I could tell more stories but I don't think there is enough space... even on a blog. Brandon has been a great encouragement in my life and a wonderful example of living a God-centered life.

Family

There always is a smile across my face when I talk about my family. In MY family I mean what I like to call my "adopted" one. I have to great parents....4 very handsome yet goofy brothers and to top it off, my baby sister. The great thing about being an only child is the fact that people easily let you join in on their family activities. Some may do it out of pity because when I was little.... mom was always sleeping. Some just want to take the crazy little girl out, see what she does, then remind people that she is not really with them. Either way... I'm happy. I look at my church... is what a church should be.... a family. We cry with one another when trials come upon our lives. We share joy with each other when we find out there are 4 women pregnant in our church. We come to each other and correct each other in love, because we are a family and only want the best for the ones we love.

I haven't be able to go to church very much this past month because of work, but I know when i do go next Sunday, I will be greeted with open arms and a "where have you been young lady?"

When I was younger when the people of my church asked me where I had been I assumed that they were keeping tabs on me to see if I was drifting away from the world, but it was just a concern because a believer can drift if they are not in fellowship with other believers.

My mother may be far away and I get to see her for a week every 3 months. My father lives close but that doesn't mean we are the closest. They are my family, they gave birth to me and did the best they could to raise me. Yet, when Christ came into my life, I was apart of a new kind of family, God who created me and gave me breath is my Father and sustains my life.

I have such an amazing relationship with my adopted family, we grow close, share convictions, and are able to open the bible and see what God is telling us. I've been busy lately, but one thing I never want to not have time for is my family. There is nothing better then walking into a house and having 4 boys run and give you hugs (carefully reminding them that they have to be gentle because they are not little anymore) and when all the greetings are done and we are sitting around the house, one comes and sits next to you, reminding you that he misses you coming over.... just breaks my heart but makes me love them so much more.

My church is my family....and let me tell you I have a very interesting family but I love them all the same.

My family loves me... because they always have my best intrests in mind :)
